Remembering your Loved Ones
One of our people’s most cherished traditions is observing the yahrzeit of a loved one on the anniversary of their death by saying kaddish at Shabbat worship and lighting a yahrzeit candle. In addition, our tradition teaches us to say yizkor at festival services throughout the year.
We also invite members to purchase permanent memorial plaques in memory of their loved ones ($700 per plaque). With the purchase of a plaque, each year, stones will be placed on the Memorial Wall on your loved one’s plaque and your loved one’s name will be included in our Yom Kippur Book of Remembrance.

Honor your Loved Ones
A tree of life plaque is a wonderful way to honor a loved one whether it be for a bet mitzvah, baby naming, marriage, birthday, anniversary or any type of simcha. These beautiful pomegranates are placed on the Tree of Life to the entrance of our. Temple

Bet Mitzvah Experience At pTS
The Bet Mitzvah process at PTS is a sacred journey for families, beginning in 5th grade with a letter outlining responsibilities and date setting. In the fall of 6th grade, families attend a half-day orientation with clergy to learn more and connect with their cohort. Personalized preparation starts about a year before the ceremony with an intake meeting with Cantor Yonah Kliger, followed by regular Hebrew tutoring and meetings with clergy to prepare for the Torah, Haftorah, and other aspects of the ceremony. We are dedicated to creating a sacred experience for all our bet mitzvah families.
