What is our Caring Community?
Our Caring Community is the soul of PTS. We support each other in times of need and times of joy. This is where connections flourish and spiritual well-being is nourished. Caring is a shared responsibility and privilege of all; by being a part of Peninsula Temple Sholom, you are already part of our Caring Community. You can make a difference in your community by volunteering periodically as it works in your calendar or frequently to do Caring Community Outreach or Making a Mitzvah Meal.
Outreach
Be the soul of PTS
Caring & Kindness is one of our core PTS values. Whether congregants experience loss or illness or are celebrating the birth of a child or other happy occasion, outreach from their community makes them feel cared for. Each Caring Community volunteer commits to just two weeks at a time to be on call to make calls or write cards.
If you are in need of support, contact any of our clergy or email caring @sholom.org.
If you want to help and increase your connection to our community, sign up to be:
- A two-week Caring Community Coordinator (caring @sholom.org)
Your email will be received during normal business hours by a staff member. If you need urgent pastoral care, please call the temple office to reach the clergy on call.
