Donations beyond Membership Commitment and High Holy Day Appeal support programs and initiatives that are not otherwise supported by the annual budget. Your generosity in supporting these funds is appreciated. If you would like to make a donation in excess of $25,000, we encourage that donation to be made to the PTS L’dor Vador Endowment Fund. General funds
The General Fund
General donations provide essential support for the congregation's annual operations.
PTS L’Dor Vador Endowment
Once this fund reaches $1 million, funds will be allocated annually to the temple’s operating budget according to the temple’s investment policy at that time.
Building Community through Programs and Worship
Cantor Barry Reich Tribute Fund
Supports musical programs, songleader training scholarships, and social action initiatives close to Cantor Reich’s heart.
Cantor’s Music Fund
Supports guest musicians and singers, musicians- and artists-in-residence, and other musical programs at PTS.
Hanne Kaufman Memorial Prayerbook Fund
In memory of Hanne Kaufman, purchases prayerbooks for use in the temple.
Holocaust and Historical Projects Fund
For educational or other programming related to the Holocaust, Jewish history, or to the history of PTS.
Jack & Elisa Klein Adult Learning Fund
In memory of the generous and giving spirit of Elisa Klein, supports the PTS Adult Education Program, including scholars-in-residence.
Lokay Educational and Programming Fund
Supports programs that enhance the diverse educational aspects of temple programming for its members and immediate community and serve as a binding force for the Jewish community on the Peninsula.
Monasch Program Fund
Underwrites a variety of special programs at the temple.
Shabbaton Fund
Underwrites part of the cost of congregational or PTS family retreats.
Wisialowski Leadership Development Fund
Supports development of lay leaders by subsidizing the cost to attend conferences, workshops, seminars, webinars and the like, and for PTS to offer similar programs onsite.
Zeichick Family Fund for Sukkat Shalom
Supports educational, social action or other programming to enhance the Sukkat Shalom, the shelter of peace over Peninsula Temple Sholom and its members.
Scholarship Funds
Barbara Cohn Preschool Scholarship Fund
Supports the granting of Preschool scholarships.
Sylvia Solomon Religious School Scholarship Fund
Supports the granting of Youth Education scholarships.
PTS Camp and Israel Scholarship Fund in Honor of Sholom Women
Inspired by Sholom Women’s ongoing support of PTS youth, subsidizes students who require financial assistance to attend a URJ summer camp or participate in a Reform movement teen Israel experience.

Raiskin Reich Youth Fund
Supports teen activities of a community, spiritual or learning nature.
Adina Cherin Youth Education Enrichment Fund
In memory of Adina Cherin, supports PTS Youth Education to enrich learning and engagement.
Preschool Fund
Supports non-budgeted special equipment, programs, and staff development and training for the Preschool.
Youth Education Fund
Supports non-budgeted special equipment and programs for the Youth Education program.
Beauty and Safety
Beautification Fund
This fund supports ongoing beautification of the temple.
Christopher Lee Fishtrom Landscaping Fund
In blessed memory of Christopher Lee Fishtrom, purchases landscape planting for the exterior grounds and beautification of PTS.
Goldman Security Fund
In memory of Stella & Bill Goldman and Frieda & Joe Goldman, funds the hiring of security personnel at the temple.
Lorry Lokey Security Fund
Offsets costs of security at Peninsula Temple Sholom, including security guards, technology purchases, and or training for staff and lay leaders.
Care and Concern
Employee Appreciation Fund
Supports small gifts and/or events of appreciation for the employees of Peninsula Temple Sholom in compliance with IRS gift-giving guidelines.
Shaine Family Social Justice Fund
In tribute to Larry Shain, supports new social justice initiatives and ongoing programs at PTS that are not otherwise covered in PTS’ annual budget, including advocacy and programs to combat anti-semitism and bias.
Social Justice Fund
Supports community participation by congregants in social justice or social action issues.
Tzedek Tzedek Tirdof Social Justice Fund
Justice, Justice, You Shall Pursue... Supports social justice initiatives and programs at PTS that aim to make the world a better and more peaceful place.
