Youth Education at PTS

  • A curriculum focused on Jewish values, ritual, lifecycle, texts, history, Israel, and character development.

  • 5 Family Shabbat Experiences for K-7th grade families in lieu of Sunday class

Sundays 9:30 - 11:30 AM with optional lunch from 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Learners build a foundation for Jewish learning through a storybook curriculum. Each grade will focus on a big question and use stories to learn about Jewish holidays and Jewish life.

  • 5 Family Shabbat experiences throughout the year in lieu of Sunday class
  • First Day: Saturday, September 10th with Welcome Back Havdalah
  • Tuition: $650 for Pre-K; $1100 for K-2nd Grade

Sundays 9:30 - 11:30 AM with optional lunch from 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Learners learn about three consecutive topics during these formative years: Later Tanakh texts including Prophets and Ketuvim, Jewish values, and Jewish lifecycle rituals. Learners will also begin meeting in Hebrew groups to learn their Aleph Bet and prayers.

  • 5 Family Shabbat experiences throughout the year in lieu of Sunday class
  • First Day: Saturday, September 10th with Welcome Back Havdalah
  • Tuition: $1400 for 3rd Grade; $1500 for 4th and 5th Grade

Sundays 9:30 - 11:30 AM with optional lunch from 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Middle schoolers learn about the responsibilities that come with becoming b'nai mitzvah. 6th graders start thinking deeply about their Jewish identities going into Jewish adulthood. 7th graders learn about modern Jewish history including Zionism, the Holocaust, and the founding of the State of Israel. 6rth graders continue in Hebrew groups.

  • 5 Family Shabbat experiences throughout the year in lieu of Sunday class
  • First Day: Saturday, September 10th with Welcome Back Havdalah
  • Tuition: $1500 for 6th Grade; $1350 for 7th Grade

Sundays optional lunch from 11:30 - 12:00 PM and class from 12:00 PM - 1:45 PM

Learners choose two electives, each taught by the clergy. These topics range from Jewish texts to Jewish history, Jewish culture, and to various perspectives on Israel. Chavayah will also have access to exclusive field trips and volunteer opportunities.10th graders will have Confirmation as one of their electives. 10th graders will also get to attend the Religious Action Center L'Taken Social Justice Seminar with their peers from February 24-27th 2023.
