IRA Distributions
Those over 70½ may make donations directly from their IRA without it being considered a taxable distribution. Please call your tax adviser to learn more about this and other tax advantageous giving.
Legacy Giving
With your legacy gift to PTS, you will continue to have an impact at PTS long into the future. Please consider any of the following tools for making a legacy gift.
- Making a bequest in your Will or Trust
- Naming PTS as beneficiary of a life insurance policy, IRA(s) or other retirement account
- Name PTS on a gift of real estate, securities, or other property
- Endowing your membership commitment into perpetuity

Gifts from Your Donor Advised Trust
A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is a tax-advantageous, charitable investment account for the sole purpose of supporting your preferred charitable organizations. When initiating a grant from your DAF, first select PTS as your recipient organization. If asked, select “where most needed” or “annual campaign” for the purpose of your contribution. Then, send an email to finance@sholom.org to let us know the particulars (amount, details of intended purpose, and the name of the sending financial institution). This way, we will be sure to code it correctly when it arrives.
